1Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Canny Vision Analytics ("Canny Vision", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through the public website at canny.vision ("the Website").

This policy covers the Website only. It does not cover the Canny Vision IAM platform, Rassed, or Fetchy — those applications process account data (passwords, OAuth2 grants, profile information, and more) under their own, separate Privacy Policy, since they involve user accounts and authentication rather than a public marketing site.

2Data we collect

We do not require you to create an account or log in to browse the Website. We collect personal data only when you actively provide it:

• Contact form: name, email address, and the message you submit.
• "Book a Demo" form: name, work email, company name, and any details you include about your interest in Canny Vision.
• Career applications: any information you choose to send by email to contacts@canny.vision (typically your CV and a cover note).

We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or sensitive categories of data (health, religious beliefs, political opinions) through the Website.

3How we use this data

We use the information you submit exclusively to:

• Respond to your inquiry sent through the contact form.
• Schedule and prepare for a product demo you requested.
• Review career applications sent to our recruiting inbox.

We do not use this data for advertising, do not build behavioural profiles from it, and do not use it for any automated decision-making.

4Bot protection (Altcha)

Our contact and demo request forms are protected by Altcha, a proof-of-work anti-bot challenge that we designed and host ourselves. Unlike third-party CAPTCHA services, Altcha does not send any of your data, browsing behaviour, or device fingerprint to an external company — the entire challenge runs on our own infrastructure.

5Data sharing

We do not sell personal data collected through the Website. We share it only with:

• Service providers strictly necessary to respond to you — for example, a transactional email provider used to deliver notifications about your submission.
• Legal authorities, if required by law, court order, or a competent authority.

6Cookies & local storage

The Website does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies. It stores two small preferences in your browser's localStorage — not a cookie, and never transmitted to our servers:

• cvLang — your selected display language (EN/FR/AR).
• theme — your light/dark display preference.

Neither value identifies you personally or is shared with any third party.

7SEO & structured data

Pages on the Website include standard SEO metadata (page titles, meta descriptions, structured data such as Schema.org markup) to help search engines index our content accurately. This metadata describes our organisation and pages publicly — it does not collect or process any data about you as a visitor.

8Data retention

We retain contact form and demo request submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of business communications, and delete or anonymise them thereafter unless a longer retention is required by law. Career application emails are retained for the duration of the relevant hiring process, plus a limited period afterward in case a similar future role becomes available, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

9Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. To exercise any of these rights regarding data submitted through the Website, contact us using the details in Section 11.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Website.
